President Barack Obama has appointed Gargee Ghosh as a member of the President’s Global Development Council. Since 2012, Ghosh, an Indian American, has been the Director of Policy Analysis and Financing at Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she focuses on aid policy, country financing, and engagement with international financial institutions.
Ghosh also held roles in global health and international economics with the Gates Foundation from 2004 to 2009. She will continue in her position at the Gates Foundation. (end)
