March 11: Penny and Frank Fukui, Hirai Farms win Supplier of the Year Awards

The Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council (Northwest MSDC) held its awards dinner and silent auction at the Westin Hotel in Seattle. Asian-owned companies that won included the Woodburn Company, owned by Penny and Frank Fukui, who won the Supplier of the Year Award (Class II), and Class A Properties dba Hirai Farms, who won Supplier of the Year (Class III).

Other winners included Puget Sound Energy as Regional Corporation of the Year, City of Seattle as Government Agency of the Year, and State Farm Insurance as National Corporation of the Year.

Approximately 300 people attended the event. ♦
