The Filipino Community Center launched The Filipino Community of Seattle (FCS) Art Gallery to showcase the works of Filipino and Filipino American artists. The gallery joined the growing roster of art spaces centered around Columbia City’s emerging art scene. It was the first in the South End to focus on Asian and Asian Americans.

Featured in the opening exhibit are the works of Herzon Dela Rosa and Rhea C. Dela Rosa, sibling oil painters based in the Philippines.

An opening reception was held at the Filipino Community Center of Seattle. ♦
