Feb. 26: Yoshi Wright is Seattle’s superstar

March 24, 2011 By Northwest Asian Weekly

Yoshi Wright

Seattle Super Star Search’s finale was held at Kane Hall, on the University of Washington campus, in front of hundreds of UW students. Out of 10 finalists who performed, Yoshi Wright, who is half Japanese, was voted, through live texting, the winner and took home the $1,000 prize.

Wright has more than 10 years of dance experience. He started his own bboy team, called Kontagious Movement, which won first place at the first-ever World of Dance Competition in Seattle.

Judges for the final event included Sanjaya Malakar, “America’s Got Talent” producer Andrew Ward, and local music writer Travis Hay. ♦
