China punishes North Korea as US asks for more

By Charles Hutzler The Associated Press BEIJING, China (AP) — China is trying to punish ally North Korea for its nuclear and missile tests, stepping up inspections of North Korean-bound cargo. It’s a calibrated effort to send a message without further provoking a testy Pyongyang government.
