Qian Xuesen, father of China’s space technology program

BEIJING (AP) — Qian Xuesen, a rocket scientist known as the father of China’s space technology program, died on Oct. 31 in Beijing, the official Xinhua News Agency said. He was 98 years old.

Chinese migrants get nabbed at Arizona border

TUCSON, Arizona (AP) — Several groups of illegal immigrants from China have been arrested in southern Arizona in recent days. On Oct. 12, U.S. Border Patrol agents said it was part of an increasing trend fed by smugglers recruiting tourists to Central and South America.
