Chinese official allegedly hides $33M in bribes

AP Wire Service BEIJING (AP) – Investigators in China have found more than 200 million yuan ($33 million) in cash at the home of an energy official accused of receiving bribes, in the country’s largest cash seizure ever, a senior prosecutor said Friday.

Chinese seen as potential Alaska gas customer

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — Alaska officials are looking to China, in what some believe will be that country’s strong demand for natural gas, to help the state advance its long-held pipeline dreams.
