YANGON, Myanmar (AP) — Detained opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi is aware of an upcoming visit by two American officials and supports the new U.S. policy of engaging with Myanmar’s military rulers, her lawyer said last Saturday, Oct. 31.

American leaves Myanmar after release from jail

YANGON, Myanmar (AP) — An American man imprisoned for sneaking into the home of detained Myanmar democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi flew out of the country Sunday, Aug. 16 after a visiting U.S. senator won his release.
