New senior housing community accepting applications

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) announces the availability of 50 brand new Senior HUD-subsidized affordable apartments located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, close to the Seattle Public Library, Ballard Commons Park, NW Market Street and the Majestic Bay movie theater. Occupancy begins January 2015.

Ground broken in ceremony at Cheryl Chow Court housing

A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Dec. 20 on the site of what will become the Cheryl Chow Court at 2014 N.W. 57th St. in Ballard. The building, named for the former Seattle City Councilmember Cheryl Chow, will comprise 50 units of green, affordable homes for senior citizens, provided by the Low Income Housing Institute. (end)
