A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the grand opening of the Goddard School in Bellevue on Jan. 23. The ribbon was made out of $1 and $5 bills, totaling about $150, which will be donated to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

After the ceremony, there was a fashion show parade in which children wore their cultural clothing to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.

For many of the children, Chinese is their second language. (end)
