Densho Project honored by Society of American Archivists

Tom Ikeda

Seattle-based “Densho: The Japanese American Legacy Project,” led by Executive Director Tom Ikeda, received the Philip M. Hamer–Elizabeth Hamer Kegan Award given by the Society of American Archivists (SAA) for 2013. The award will be presented at a ceremony during the Council of State Archivists and SAA Joint Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Aug. 11–17, 2013.

The award recognizes individuals or institutions that have increased public awareness of archives documents. (end)
