Japanese students, Seattle Police, and community volunteers embark on graffiti project

On Wed., Aug. 1, 2012, 16 Japanese students from Matsuyama Island, eight Seattle community volunteers, and a team of Seattle Police offi cers participated in a coordinated effort to paint over graffiti in Little Saigon.

The Japanese students visited Seattle with goals to learn more about America and to foster cross-cultural relationships.

The project was coordinated by Nhi Tran from Seattle Neighborhood Group and officer Chris Brownlee from the East Precinct Community Police Team. (end)
