BLOG: Counting my blessings

June 1, 2012 By Northwest Asian Weekly

By Assunta Ng

Seattle’s weather has been so nice the last few days that I feel sorry for those who live on the East Coast and in the South who were affected by the heat wave. That’s the reason I’ve resided in Seattle for decades. Seattle summers are the best.

After living for 32 years in Seattle, my aunt moved back to Los Angeles with her children.

“You can’t drink the water from tap,” she complained. “It’s dirty and tastes lousy. The neighbors have to buy water every day and so do I.”

“The weather is hot, unlike Seattle’s cool air. It’s hard to sleep at night,” she said. So remember, don’t take Seattle for granted, folks! (end)
