MC Jin performing at SingCon
On May 14, more than 800 supporters attended SingCon, a singing competition hosted by UW’s Hong Kong Student Association at the STG Neptune Theatre. Local musicians Fiona Dawn, Gowe, and Lijie Yang made special guest appearances, and Hong Kong based hip-hop artist MC Jin performed and encouraged the contestants to follow their dreams. Nine contestants vied to become the next singing champions. Yuchuan Zhang took home the grand prize, Jessica Fan won the Audience Choice Award and was the runner-up. Desmond Cheng, Fiona Dawn, Gowe, and Leon Zhao judged the performances and picked the winners. (end)
