Blog: Chinatown/ID featured on television

February 17, 2011 By Northwest Asian Weekly

Can you survive without speaking English in the ID? What percentage of outsiders patronize ID businesses?

How will rezoning and lifting the 70-foot building limit impact the ID?

What effect will doubling the size of Hing Hay Park and moving the post office have on the community? You will find the answers to these questions on “City Inside/Out,” a program featured on City of Seattle’s Channel 21, on Feb. 18 at 7 and 11 p.m.

Produced by Susan Han and hosted by C.R. Douglas, the half-hour program will give you new insights into the ID.

Interviewees included Margaret Su of the Wing, Al Kurimura of Uwajimaya, Seattle City Councilmember Sally Clark and SCIDpda Director Mariko Chin.
