Radio Hankook held its first Korean Song Contest for Non-Koreans at the Knutzen Family Theater in Federal Way. The ethnicities represented in the contest were American, Filipino, Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Mexican, and Irish. The emcees for the event were Doris Haan and Aesop, a musician.
First place went to Mexican American Tony Delgado, who lived in Korea. Other winners included Davie John Cenidoza (second place), Virgi Santos Mata (third), Andri Pangestu (fourth), Jacob Reidhead (special award), and An Phan (most popular award). ♦

Congratulations! You guys are top notch. The lady (#15) from the left surely looks fine. I heard she’s the Mariah Carey of Washington State. I believe I’ve seen her in one of her concerts in Los Angeles a couple of years ago.

I heard VIRGIE MATA sang and won a different Contest before and she just gets better and better every time. She really enjoys singing too.
