The Chinatown/International District Business Improvement Area (CIDBIA) received a grant from the City of Seattle’s Office of Economic Development to bring a series of art installations to the International District neighborhood.
Five art murals will be installed on the Publix Hotel located on the corner of South King Street and Fifth Avenue South. The murals will highlight the rich history and cultural elements of the Chinatown-International District and Seattle.
Murals will feature Filipino American novelist and poet Carlos Bulosan, martial artist and actor Bruce Lee, and musicians Quincy Jones, Ernestine Anderson, and Ray Charles; there will be others.
The murals will be displayed at the end of November. ♦
