EDI offers scholarship for leadership program

January 21, 2010 By Northwest Asian Weekly

On Jan. 11, the Atsuhiko and Ina Goodwin Tateuchi Foundation provided a grant to the Executive Development Institute (EDI). As a result, a $3,500 scholarship will be offered to candidates who attend the EDI Leadership Discovery Program. Applications are due Feb. 15, and the final selection will be made by March 1.

EDI partners with businesses in the Pacific Northwest to provide culturally-tailored leadership programs for emerging Asian/Pacific Islander and Latino leaders and managers. “We are deeply appreciative of the Tateuchi Foundation’s generosity and vision,” said Starr Macdonald, executive director of EDI.

“The foundation’s continual support of the development of emerging Asian Pacific leaders within the nonprofit sector complements EDI’s mission of cultivating culturally diverse leaders and giving back to the community by offering leadership support to nonprofit organizations,” said Macdonald. ♦
