Wayne Taniguchi

Sushi chef Wayne Taniguchi is the newest culinary addition to Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar’s downtown Seattle location. Formerly the executive chef at Flo Japanese restaurant in Bellevue, Taniguchi has more than 30 years of restaurant experience.

Taniguchi began his career serving U.S. Armed Forces personnel in Japan and later apprenticed under chef Tatsu Nishino, owner of Nishino in Madison Park. Taniguchi has also worked at Nikko in the Westin Hotel — one of the first Japanese fine dining restaurants in Seattle. ♦
