On July 14, the city of Seattle announced that it is taking nominations for the Mayor’s Small Business awards.
Mayor Greg Nickels and the city of Seattle are looking for small businesses that have excellent management, customer service, and community involvement.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Mayor’s Small Business awards. Throughout the years, the city has applauded more than 240 small businesses for their positive impact on the community.
Some of the past recipients of this award include Starbucks Coffee Company (1984), Uwajimaya (1984), and Ezell’s Fried Chicken (1989).
Nominations can be made by anyone, but the deadline is Sept. 2. ♦
